Despite these differences, these films share the stories of hope and love. The vision of the future of Ridley Scott is dark and materialistic, while for Chris Columbus, it is also capitalistic and materialistic, but full of hope. Furthermore, Blade Runner and Bicentennial Man have the themes of humanity, capitalism, and materialism. Social isolation is more prevalent in Blade Runner.
